PITCHING PROGRAM |
|
Pitching may be the most difficult skill to master at any level in baseball. At Power Baseball, we focus on the mental and physical conditioning of our athletes as well as the skills portion of their training. We put significant emphases on learning arm and shoulder care to allow the athletes to enjoy a long career as a pitcher. Velocity, everyone wants it, players, coaches, and parents, but very few know how to attain or increase velocity. Velocity comes from various factors including stride, momentum, inertia, and proper pitching mechanics. Most coaches and instructors won’t admit they do not know how to improve velocity, and will use the same old worn out clichés like “drop and drive”, “use your legs”, “push off more”, “throw more long toss”, “you have to get bigger”, or “its genetic”. The fact is velocity can be taught and improved through a series of skill-specific strength conditioning programs, explosive power work, body synchronization, and a specially designed throwing program. Gaining velocity takes hard work, a dedicated effort, considerable discipline, and planning. We will teach each pitcher the six steps to gaining velocity. If you are serious about pitching and reaching the next level, this program is for you. |
